Characteristics

Description

The wine Poggio di Sotto Riserva 2015 is produced by selecting the best barrels in the cellar. The production area is in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, in the Southeast region of Montalcino. Harvesting is manual, with rigorous selection and low yields. Vinification takes place in wooden vats with long macerations and frequent pump-overs. After 30 months of aging in oak barrels, it was bottled in November 2018. This reserve wine comes from vineyards located at 350 meters above sea level, characterized by clay and galestro, which give it elegance and verticality. On the palate, it is captivating, ethereal, with spicy and fragrant notes, accompanied by elegance and austerity leading to a long and intriguing aftertaste.
