Description
The Barolo DOCG Cannubi 2016 is a high-quality red wine that comes from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the homonymous cru. The gray-white marl soil of Cannubi gives the wine great elegance and a pleasant mineral note. This wine reveals an open character and combines discretion, class, and refinement, an expression of a terrain historically recognized for its qualities. The color of the Barolo DOCG Cannubi 2016 is a brilliant garnet red which time gives slight amber shades. It is exuberant in the scents of blackberries and wild strawberries, violet, and spices. The entry on the palate is striking, solid and compact, with a large soft and refined structure, which transforms towards a more slender and discreet style in the finish, where elegant and moderately astringent tannins are encountered. The 2016 harvest has manifested itself as one of the longest in recent years. It is foreseeable to expect Barolos characterized by excellent balance with important aromas and a very fine structure.
