Description

The grapes come from the prestigious ‘Lazzarito’ vineyard in the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba, a splendid amphitheater-shaped area with southwest exposure. The soil is calcareous-clayey, with an altitude between 260 and 390 meters above sea level. The vines have an average age of 42 years and are grown in Guyot system. The color is intense ruby red with garnet reflections. On the nose, it expresses a complex and enveloping bouquet, with hints of hay, cut grass, tobacco, white pepper, and wild mint. On the palate, it is vigorous, structured, with a long and mineral finish. The tannin is typical of Serralunga, angular, austere, and very deep.
