Description

The cru of 'Monvigliero' is one of the excellences of Verduno and of the whole Barolo area. The soil is composed of limestone, clay and Marne di Sant'Agata, with an excellent exposure to the south/south-west. The vines are 44 years old and are located at about 240 m above sea level. The color is intense ruby red. The aroma has hints of ripe red fruit, delicate spices and flowers. The taste reveals a great elegance, with notes of wild strawberry, rose and cherry. The Barolo Monvigliero has a tannin that is soft, silky and long, with a texture perfectly in harmony and with an aromatic complexity that makes it unique.
