Description
The Biondi-Santi flagship wine, the Brunello di Montalcino embodies the spirit of Tenuta Greppo and the signature style of our winemakers, forged over 1 5 0 years of history with its balanced combination of fresh elegance, depth and aristocratic personality. The Brunello Biondi-Santi is produced with hand-selected grapes from their own vineyards. In the cellar, it is fermented in cement tanks using indigenous yeasts and aged in large Slavonian oak barrels, as tradition dictates. The bouquet of the 2017 Brunello initially reveals fragrant fruity notes and balsamic spices. Among the red berry fruits, red cherry notes stand out, accompanied by intriguing hints of white pepper, dried tobacco leaves, licorice root and citrus zest. On the palate, its fruity heart is surprisingly fragrant and boasts an enviable balance between fine-grained tannins and refreshing acidity. The finish is savory, long and enveloping with slight hints of thyme and rosemary.
